Thanksgiving 2023 – our all vegetarian spread

A post ….. better late than never…….

Ever since coming to this country, we have realized how Thanksgiving is a big “family” holiday. The first few years we spent using the holidays to take trips. Soon enough we realized, this holiday is one which is celebrated with friends and family. Although we did make one Thanksgiving vacation and celebrated with family, most of our Thanksgivings have been “friends”givings.

We are very Thankful to the online communities. Be it Instagram or Facebook or subscribers of my blog, I enjoy writing about my endeavors in the kitchen via my posts.

We are blessed with a bunch of friends who have started to look forward to celebrating at our place and we try to ‘impress’ year after year 😉

This year too, it was a family effort. My boys started to talk about our Thanksgiving menu, which we completely cook at home. They started to suggest dishes … some were crowd pleasers while some were our staple offerings which have started to become part of our tradition as well.

Another tradition we started in the last few years is for all our kids to perform their musical instruments. This has become so popular that the kids are coming up with beautiful renditions year after year. We have piano, violin, flute and even a trombone recital.

We decided to decorate our whole home with fun spirals and also several photo op backdrops. All in all it was a beautiful celebration with our lovely friends.

So here it, our spread, with most of the recipes. For the ones missing, I promise to write them up soon and post 🙏
